Neighborhood Communities

God created you to live in community.

What if the church was right in your neighborhood?

What if you didn’t need to drive 15 minutes to cultivate life-giving relationships but they were right on your street? What if those relationships not only encouraged you in the Lord, but they also became a community you could invite your actual neighbors into?

Jesus prayed in John 17:21, “… that they (the church) may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Jesus prayed that the church would experience such a depth of relationship that it would spark a mission to an unbelieving world—A mission that is marked by love for God that leads to loving neighbors (Mark 12:31). Neighborhood Communities combines the pursuit of Biblical community with the command to love our neighbors right where we live.

The mission of Neighborhood Communities is to catalyze the church that is already in your neighborhood for connection, care and mission. We believe that biblical community is not only the best vehicle for spiritual growth, but also the best vehicle for mission that leads to discipleship. God has strategically placed each one of us (His Church) at arms reach of those who don’t know Him, giving us the opportunity to BLESS our neighbors. Our vision is to see every home reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ for the display of His splendor.

What exactly is a Neighborhood Community?

The Grove’s Neighborhood Communities (NC) are strategically placed in our geography where the church lives. Each Neighborhood Community is led by a team of people who live in that neighborhood and consider The Grove their home church. There are a variety of gatherings that are unique to each NC that may consist of Biblical studies to social events for couples, men, women and children.
