Ready to Rescue Day 24

¹² Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, ¹³ bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Praise God that He has chosen us as his beloved and has made us holy (set apart).  Repent of your unwillingness to let go of your old self and way of life, especially any lack of forgiveness you have towards others. Ask God to cultivate in you a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.  Yield to God's will for your relationships with others to be reconciled, just as He desires a reconciled relationship with all people.  

Read Colossians 3:1-17

• Has God rescued you? From what?
• If God has rescued you, then you have the ability to be used by Him to rescue others. What is keeping you from being ready to rescue others?
• What would it look like for you to put to death your old life and put on your new life in Christ? How would you live differently? How would this affect your relationships with others?
