Day 13: Empowered
Someone who has been empowered is someone who has been given authority. A judge can issue a sentence, a police officer can make an arrest, a teacher can give a grade. When we put our faith in Jesus, God the Holy Spirit came to dwell in us. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a godly and powerful life.
The Bible says, “For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God." 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 ESV
The Holy Spirit empowers us to do what we cannot do on our own. The Holy Spirit goes where we cannot go. He understands things we cannot understand. In what ways are you depending on yourself instead of the power of the Holy Spirit? Where in your life do you need to surrender to the leadership of the Holy Spirit?

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
